Current Science is an English peer-reviewed multidisciplinary scientific journal published by the Current Science Association along with the Indian Academy of Sciences. The editor-in-chief is R. Srinivasan of the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.

History - The journal was started in 1932 by the then stalwarts of Indian science such as Nobel Laureate and physicist Dr. CV Raman, Paleobotanist Dr. Birbal Sahni FRS, Astrophysicist Dr. Meghnad Saha FRS, Dr. Martin Foster and Chemist Dr. S.S. Bhatnagar OBE, FRS. In 2011, the journal completed one hundred volumes.
Types of publications - The journal is intended as a medium for communication and discussion of important issues that concern science and scientific activities. Besides full length research articles and shorter research communications, the journal publishes review articles, scientific correspondence and commentaries, news and views, comments on recently published research papers, opinions on scientific activity, articles on universities, Indian laboratories and institutions, interviews with scientists, personal information, book reviews, etc.
Readership - Current Science is read by a large community of scientists and the circulation has been continuously going up.
Ratings - According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2016 impact factor of 0.843 with an overall increasing trend by year and the journal was placed in the quartile Q2 within ‘Multidisciplinary sciences’ category. The h-index of Current Science was 82, and 24 authors have more than one H-Classic articles
Indexing - Current Science is indexed by Web of Science, Current Contents, Geobase, Chemical Abstracts, IndMed and Scopus.
