Chmeľovec (Hungarian: Tapolykomlós) is a village and municipality in Prešov District in the Prešov Region of eastern Slovakia.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1251.

Geography edit

The municipality lies at an altitude of 349 metres and covers an area of 7.28 km2 (2.81 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[1]

Population edit

It has a population of about 447 people (2020-12-31).[2]
