Cherif Labidi

Cherif Labidi or Mohamed Cherif Labidi (Arabic: الشريف العبيدي‎; born 1933 or 1934 – May 13, 2020) was a Tunisian actor.

BiographyEdit

Labidi's theatrical experience began in 1959 with amateur societies. He joined the Tunis Municipality Troupe in the early 60s and performed in a number of roles and worked with most directors in the municipal troupe. He won the award for Best Actor in the 1982 Theater Week.[1]

On May 13, 2020, Labidi died at the age of 86. His acting career spanned over decades after acting in dramas and theatre notably El Khottab Al Bab.[2] Labidi is buried in the Sidi Jebali cemetery in Ariana.[3]
