Some notes on interwiki compatibility edit
Some languages of Wikipedia apply a flat structure for countries, others use a hierarchy of continent/country. For example, the category "French music" might have a parent "Music by country" (flat) or "European music" (hierarchical) or both. Categories can be named "French music" or "Music in France". Some languages (including English) use "by nationality" for people and culture (music, literature) and "by country" for other categories.
Some languages use their word for "region" sometimes to mean cross-national regions and sometimes to mean continents or abstract locations. For example, the German de:Kategorie:Archäologie nach Region is subdivided by continent (and should have been named Archäologie nach Kontinent), but interwiki links to category:Archaeology by region.
