Because templates that populate categories often don't work when the sequence changes. This populates Category:1820 in Missouri but in 1820 it was still Missouri Territory and the correct category is Category:1820 in Missouri Territory. Using the template just populates the redirect and the redirect bot can't fix it so it just clogs up the system. Timrollpickering (Talk) 17:41, 27 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
