Films based on the Asterix series by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. The series is set c. 50 BC in Armorica (modern Brittany), Roman Gaul, shortly after the Gallic Wars (58–50 BC). The series depicts the only village in Gaul which has not been conquered by the Roman Republic, as the local Gauls continue their resistance against Roman occupation.
