Karate

edit

Canada qualified a total of six karatekas (one man and five women).[52] Yamina Lahyanssa qualified through the 2021 Junior Pan American Games in Cali, Colombia, two athletes through the 2023 North American Cup and the remaining three through the 2023 Pan American Championships qualifying event.[53] The team was officially named on July 14, 2023.[54] The six qualified athletes marked the most karatekas Canada has sent to an edition of the Pan American Games.[55] Hana Furumoto-Deshaies did not compete as her arm injury did not recover in time for the games. All her matches were forfeited.[56]
