HistoryEdit

Parent company Bridgestone was founded in 1931 by Shojiro Ishibashi and first produced golf balls in 1935. It was not until 1972 that the company's involvement in golf expanded into the manufacture of clubs.[1] As a branch of the largest rubber company in the world, Bridgestone Corp., Bridgestone Golf has been able to develop top quality golf balls with help from its engineers and over 800 golf ball patents.

Bridgestone has been guided by the philosophy of founder Shojiro Ishibashi since 1931 to 'Serve Society with Superior Quality.' Over the years, the pursuit of superior quality has resulted in Bridgestone becoming the global market leader in the rubber industry and in polymer science technologies. Today Bridgestone continues to push the performance capabilities of products with an unmatched commitment to Research and Development

Bridgestone balls won three of the four FedEx Cup Playoff events in 2018. In 2018, Bridgestone Golf had more wins per tour team member than any other golf ball company. Tiger Woods adopted the Bridgestone Golf ball in 2016, and currently plays the TOUR B XS ball. Tiger used the TourB XS to win the 2019 Masters tournament.

Ball FittingEdit

In 2006, Bridgestone Golf launched a ball fitting program aimed at personalizing golf ball selection for recreational players. Ball fitting services include live fittings conducted with launch monitors, online fittings, and mobile fittings through the B-FIT app. Through these services, Bridgestone Golf has allowed recreational golfers to select a ball that will yield optimal results for their game. Since 2006, Bridgestone Golf has captured around 2.5 million swings. Leading up to 2019, this database was used to develop the new e12 Soft and e12 Speed golf balls. Bridgestone hails as the #1 Ball-Fitter in golf due to its success with these programs.
