Bánovce nad Ondavou (Hungarian: Bánóc) is a village and municipality in Michalovce District in the Kosice Region of eastern Slovakia.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1326.

The village lies at an altitude of 122 metres and covers an area of 12.23 km2 (4.72 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[1]

Ethnicity edit

The population is 96% Slovak in ethnicity.
