Arjit Taneja

Arjit Taneja is an Indian television actor.[1] Taneja primarily works in Hindi-language fiction shows and reality shows. He made his television debut in the Indian soap-opera V The Serial, after which he appeared in the reality shows MTV Splitsvilla 6 and Box Cricket League 1 and fiction shows Kumkum Bhagya (2014), Kaleerein (2018)[2] and Bahu Begum (2019).[3] Taneja is frequently cited as one of the most desirable and attractive celebrities in Indian television industry.

Early lifeEdit

Arjit Taneja belongs to a Punjabi family.[4] He attended modern school, Delhi and was graduated with a BA degree in computer programming at University of Delhi.[5]

In November 2010, joined the modelling agency Elite Model Management India Pvt. Ltd. In mid-2012, he moved from Delhi to Mumbai and made his debut on television.[6]


In December 2012, Arjit got a role in V The Serial on Channel V, where he played actor Karan Kundra's best friend. Taneja played a cameo in the series Bade Acche Lagte Hain on Sony Entertainment Television India in September 2013. He also participated in the reality show MTV Splitsvilla, in Season 6.

In 2014, Taneja started portraying the role of Purab Khanna on the TV show Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV.[7][8][9] He also played the role of Bilal Khan in Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do.

Taneja bagged the lead role of Zee TV's Kaleerein.[10][11] In May 2018, he appeared in Zee TV's talk show Juzz Baatt as a guest along with Sana Saeed, Adnan Khan and Karan Jotwani.[12]

Arjit got his second lead role portraying the Nawab of Bhopal Azaan Akhtar Mirza in Colors TV show Bahu Begum and has garnered praise for his performance in the same.
