Sarath Kumar, better known as Appani Sarath, is an Indian film actor from Trivandrum who appears in Malayalam & Tamil films.[2]

Sarath came into limelight through portraying the character of Appani Ravi in Angamaly Diaries[3] directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery which gave him instant popularity . He later acted in Velipadinte Pusthakam directed by Lal Jose[4] and portrayed the role of Franklin, who appears in the famous Jimikki Kammal song.[5] He also acted in Pokkiri Simon and Sachin (film). Sarath is now entering Tamil films industry, with a brief role in 2018 Mani Ratnam movie; Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and Sandakozhi 2 with Vishal-a sequel of 2005 movie Sandakozhi.[6]
