Caroline Wozniacki won the title, snapping a seven-match losing streak to Venus Williams, beating her in the final in straight sets. Williams became the oldest player to reach the final of the event.[1][2]

Caroline Garcia, Jeļena Ostapenko and Elina Svitolina made their debuts in the event.
