  • February 16: Brett Ewins, British comic book artist (worked for the magazines 2000 AD and Deadline magazine), dies at age 59[24] [25]
  • February 19: Talus Taylor, French novelist (co-creator of Barbapapa), dies at the age of 82. [26]
  • February 20: Gérard Calvi, French composer (composed music for the Astérix animated feature films), dies at age 92. [27]
