Zheng, 23, won this year's Australian Open and Wimbledon women's doubles and was also in the doubles final in Stockholm with compatriot Yan Zi against Czech Eva Birnerova and her Slovak partner Jarmila Gajdosova.

However, along with compatriot Yan Zi, Zheng lost the doubles final against Jarmila Gajdosova and Eva Birnerova. The Chinese duo won the first set easily 6-0 but then the Czechoslovakian duo turned on the style. The following sets went 6-4, 6-2 to Gajdosova and Birnerova.
