Welcome to the film task force of WikiProject Westerns.

Purpose

  • To identify articles within the film project that pertain to the Westerns project and to create articles as needed.
  • To identify existing standards such as MOS:FILM and make sure project articles meet those criteria.

Scope

  • The Westerns (genre) film task force covers articles within the Westerns project that pertain to cinematic films. This may or may not include actors and production staff.
  • There is crossover with the film project. If you already participate in that project, and edit articles pertaining to Westerns, please also consider joining this project.

  • Find editors who have shown interest in this subject and ask them to take a look here.
  • Identify articles for creation
  • Identify articles for improvement
  • Review importance and quality of existing articles

Guidelines

Articles within the Westerns film task force will typically follow the Manual of Style for the film project. Articles should follow that project's naming conventions and notability guidelines.

Tagging and assessment

Any articles that are within the scope of this project should be tagged with the project banners of WikiProject Westerns and WikiProject Film. Be sure to add film=yes to the {{WikiProject Westerns}} banner.

Article page Placed at the foot of an article page, a stub-template increases awareness that an article needs expanding and improving. An appropriate stub template should be placed last – after category tags and before any interlanguage links.
