I would like to suggest that Sweetest Day be added as one of the holidays. It should say something like:

October 22: International Stuttering Awareness Day, Sweetest Day in the United States
--Transfinite 17:54, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'd pass, as long as the {{dispute}} tag is on Sweetest Day. Not sure if this Hallmark holiday is notable enough, anyway. -- PFHLai 02:31, 13 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Looks like people are now edit-warring on Sweetest Day. So let's not put it on MainPage. The 3rd Saturday in October is not October 22, anyway. --PFHLai 16:28, 16 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Do not forget 100th anniversary of first heavier-than-air flight by Alberto Santos-Dumont today. --R.Sabbatini 21:55, 22 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wish I had seen this earlier. :-( Anyway, it's now on the Sel.Anniv. template for Oct.23rd and hopefully will appear on MainPage in 2007. --PFHLai 09:33, 2 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Great Disappointment edit

I suggest a rename of the "great disappointment" to the following:

The Seventh-day Adventist Church sprang out of the Great Disappointment, and is the most prominent such group today, however there were also other groups which faded into nonexistence, and also others which remain today but are less notable. Colin MacLaurin 08:26, 22 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Greatest" disaster edit

I don't know if "greatest" is the best word for a disaster. Maybe "worst"? Wknight94 talk 03:12, 22 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

That's what it said in the article. :/ howcheng {chat} 06:54, 22 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Edit request on 22 October 2013 edit

André-Jacques Garnerin didn't jump from a balloon, he dropped from one; he remained in the same gondola during the balloon ascent and parachute descent. So, change it to something like "Dropping from a hydrogen balloon..." WolfmanSF (talk) 01:16, 22 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

  Done. Thanks. howcheng {chat} 03:10, 22 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Franz Liszt edit

Will Liszt be included in the birth and death things? Thy Pyrometer (talk) 00:52, 11 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Thy Pyrometer: I count 26 {{citation needed}} tags in there. The quality isn't good enough. howcheng {chat} 03:00, 20 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
