The following lists have been chosen as lists of the month. In December there will be monthlong voting among the twelve List of the Month chosen from December to November as LOTM for January through December. The winning list will be named List of the Year. Each recognized ballot will include a first, second and third choice from among the candidates.

The members of the Swiss Federal Council constitute the federal government of Switzerland and serve as the country's head of state. Each of the seven Councilors heads a department of the Swiss federal administration. The members of the Federal Council are elected for a term of four years by both chambers of the federal parliament sitting together as the Federal Assembly.
