The Guerrilla Mediation Network is a system for getting informal mediators to quickly help out with Wikipedia disputes, whilst the conflict remains small and easily contained. This means that the dispute can be dealt with before it grows to a point that it needs major intervention.
Use guerrilla mediation as early as possible in disputes, as you come across them.
