Viraja Homa

The Viraja Homa is a Hindu fire-sacrifice which is performed during the ceremonies whereby a Hindu monk takes up the vows of renunciation (Sannyasa). The Viraja Homa is thus part of the full Sannyasa Deeksha (monastic initiation).
