June 2017 edit

Hello, I'm Julietdeltalima. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Vic Elmes have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because the username, Vic elmes, matches the name of a well-known, living person.

If you are the person represented by this username, please note that the practice of blocking such usernames is to protect you from being impersonated, not to discourage you from editing Wikipedia. You may choose to edit under a new username (see information below), but keep in mind that you are welcome to continue to edit under this username. If you choose to do so, we ask the following:

  1. Please be willing and able to prove your identity to Wikipedia.
  2. Please send an email to info-en wikimedia.org. Be aware that the volunteer response team that handles email is indeed operated entirely by volunteers, and the reply may not be immediate.

If you are not the person represented by this username, you are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} on your user talk page, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I didn't knew it was a problem. There are lot of Vic Elmes in the world, I could even really call myself that way. I just chosen that name in tribute to my friend. You really are acting like nazis. My friend has passed away and a bunch of unknown people like you is telling me what...that's really awful. I repeat here for the last time: it's a right for fans and anyone who cares for him to know he's passed away, so they can pay tribute to him. I just wanted to add the new that he has passed away. For them. As it will be done by ex band members Lem Lubin, Paul Fenton and Jeff Christie. If I was going against a rule by calling me Vic ellmes, I am sorry, I didn't knew that. Call me like you want, I am new to wikipedia, I can make mistakes but, hell, stop going against me with such stupid reasons.

Decline reason:

Please follow the instructions for requesting a new username.

I also urge you not to call other people "Nazis" - likening honest contributors who are simply upholding Wikipedia's community-decided policies to a regime that murdered millions is grossly offensive. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:16, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I understand you have rules and all, but, rules, used like this, without goodsense are not useful and somewhere hurt people and this is offensive too. I gave you links where it is clearly stated by all Vic friends that he is dead, (Jeff Christie facebook page where he pay tribute to him, not Mr bingboing but Jeff Christie, the leader of the band CHRISTIE where Vic made success) a link where his producer Garrelt Danker pay tribute to him, with day of birth and day of death and you still ask reliable sources...this is not goodsense. But well it's ok, while Vic is dead in the world, the only place where he is still living (aside from the heart of his friends) is wikipedia. Sorry if I have caused you any trouble, and I extend my apologizes to any member here - try to understand it was not easy for me. Regards.

Btw, are you by any chance affiliated with Lorenzo Gabanizza, the subject of an article you created? --Ebyabe talk - Welfare State ‖ 14:22, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

No, I am not. I saw him in Germany live with Vic.
