ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. IMDB edit

IMDB is not a WP:Reliable source. If you add information citing only the IMDB, it is liable to be deleted, because IMDB accepts contributions by users. So you need to find a better source, like BFI.org, etc. All the best, -- Ssilvers (talk) 19:45, 5 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Duplicating references edit

Please be more mindful of duplicating references when editing List of Monster Musume characters. A reference only needs to be used once, and then, if named (i.e. <ref name="monmusu1">''Monster Musume'' Chapter 1</ref>), it can be made to display elsewhere simply by typing <ref name="monmusu1" />. This way the references section isn't cluttered up with multiple citations to the same source. Thanks, G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 15:29, 17 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Lady Windermere's Fan, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Edward Fox, Martin Jarvis and Richard Tate (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution edit

Hi. I see in a recent addition to List of productions of The Nutcracker you included material copied from The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying within Wikipedia in the future. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 20:53, 28 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

February 2019 edit

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Jane Austen in popular culture; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Softlavender (talk) 17:17, 6 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar character descriptions. edit

The descriptions need to be shortened and more concise. Your edits seem to be doing the opposite. If there's plot detail, that can be removed. It should just focus on the character's basic information, about the size of what would be shown in manga/anime profiles. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:29, 21 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

December 2023 edit

  Please do not add or change content, as you did at The Witches (novel), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Also, pay attention to what you are writing in edit summaries because you didn't actually undo my revision. ภץאคгöร 16:52, 6 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

And I suggest that you look at the provided ISBN numbers which are usually source enough. However, since you insist on sources, I have provided additional reliable web sources. Additionally, the "summary" you claim I have provided for the "undoing" was not provided by me but by Wikipedia. TonyPS214 (talk) 17:45, 6 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
We use Template:Citation when citing a source, not just write ISBN numbers in brackets next to the text. You press the "publish changes..." button yourself. Again, see WP:DISCOGS's "validity". ภץאคгöร 16:43, 7 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
