Your draft article, Draft:Syncplify.me Server! edit

Hello, Syncplify. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Syncplify.me Server!".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:Syncplify.me Server!}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 16:29, 20 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Requested username:

Request reason:

Sorry I used a company name, I respectfully ask the account to be renamed to FjodrSoyevskji which is my personal first and last name. I never spammed Wikipedia and I promise I never will. All of my original content was approved by Wikipedia reviewers after careful review and many back-forth adjustments and modifications to ensure its neutrality. And I am willing to keep improving my contributions to make them even more neutral. Thank you.

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. Vanjagenije (talk) 22:55, 27 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

In the unblock request that you sent using the UTRS system, you have referred to yourself as "we" several times. Is this account used by more than one person? What is the connection between you and the company you are writing about? Do you have any WP:COI? If so, please declare it. Vanjagenije (talk) 21:39, 27 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

The reason why I used "we" is because the company has been accused, so when I defend the company from an unfair accusation I use "we". BUT the only person to whom the account belongs is myself, Fjodr Soyevskji. I am the CTO of Syncplify (the company) so I guess that qualifies as COI. Even though we could write books on what is and what is not a COI, and according to which theory. But I understand that's not the point. I am used to "wear many hats", for example I am a university professor as well as a CTO as well as a consultant to several other companies, and each time I wear a different hat I do so with the utmost professionalism, without favoring my "other hats" or taking advantage of the circumstantial position. My only interest here is to improve Wikipedia by providing a better completeness of information on a topic that Wikipedia was covering only partially. I am willing to continue doing so, constantly improving, staying away from bias. Being requested to improve a document/page on Wikipedia is always reasonable, and I will always be more than happy to do so. Being unfairly accused of spamming, on the other hand, makes me feel quite uneasy, as you can imagine.

  • I am willing to unblock you, but only under condition that you will not be making WP:COI edits in connection to your company. I don't care about any "theories", Wikipedia's WP:COI guidelines are very clear: COI editing is strongly discouraged. Vanjagenije (talk) 22:37, 27 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
    • Deal. I will not be editing any page that has a direct or indirect connection to any company that I work with or consult with. Promise.
