Proposed deletion of OpenInkpot edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article OpenInkpot, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable software, no assertion of notability. 188 Google hits (with livejournal, BlogSpot, twitter and Wordpress excluded), but nothing that approaches significant coverage in reliable independent sources - it's almost all mentions on forums and blogs. 4 news hits, but they are passing mentions rather than significant coverage. Dawn Bard (talk) 15:26, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Editing survey edit

Hi WikiNSK. My name is Mike Lyons and I am a doctoral student at Indiana University. I am conducting research on the writing and editing of high traffic current events articles on Wikipedia. I have noticed that you have been a key contributor at 2008 South Ossetia war. I was hoping you would agree to fill out a brief survey about your experience. This study aims to help expand our thinking about collaborative knowledge production. Believe me I share your likely disdain for surveys but your participation would be immensely helpful in making the study a success. A link to the survey is included below. An explanation of my project is included with the survey.

Proposed deletion of Applied planetology edit

The article Applied planetology has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Request edit

Hi, some time ago you participated in the discussion about Czechia, short-form and geographical name of the Czech state. Two weeks ago, I wrote an article about history of the problem with comparison of statements and oppinions from both sides in the dispute, but the article ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Czechia_-_the_name_dispute ) was immediately deleted by some admins. Then, on repeated demands, it was reverted by some rational person and now the voting about deletion of the article (initialized by it erasers) is in process. If you want, help to keep the article, you can vote here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Czechia_-_the_name_dispute#Czechia_-_the_name_dispute Askave (talk) 14:35, 3 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
