Protection notice

Hi there.

I removed the {{sprotected}} template from your userpage, as the page is not protected. What happens is that the page is transcluded into the category for semi-protected pages and we can't have that.

Happy editing! Keegantalk 04:28, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ah, I see. It's still in the log as User:***. I was wondering why nothing showed up here, which is what made me think the page wasn't protected. Apologies for the inconvenience! Keegantalk 17:04, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry

Sorry about the edit to Garibaldi, I was talking to a friend and was showing him how you can edit wiki to say what you want. I won't do it again, it was a "proof of concept" edit. I did change it right back after. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.174.40.8 (talkcontribs)

Adminship

Hi there; I have seen you around quite a bit. Have you as yet considered going for adminship? You will need a few more edits in Wikitalk, and you will need to enable your e-mail, and you will need to have been here for perhaps one more nonth. If you can achieve these three qualifications, and if you wish, let me know and I will be happy to nominate you. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 00:11, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

P.S. the fact that you are a teenager is not relevant. So was my last (successful) nominee, and so are quite a lot of our admins. I feel that I personally add a counterweight of age and maturity. Please do not argue with this opinion - I feel old enough already! --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 00:15, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
OK, I will wait until October if you wish. But many admins with your edit count have been promoted inside the six month box. I am on hooliday shortly, so may not get back to you quickly. But my first post stands, and I would be confident of success in late August. Your decision - let me know. In the meantime, do try not to get blocked!! --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 00:18, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yes. My last nominee was User:Acalamari, who is a teenager, and who achieved WP:100 in his RfA (as, to be fair, I also did earlier this year). You need something over 3000 edits, a reasonable amount of contribution in WP:NAMESPACE, which is to say WP:AfD, WP:AIV, WP:RfA, WP:UAA, and in wiki-talk. And perhaps a four month editing history. You are more or less there, apart from the time here, and many admins have been promoted after a four-month contribution history. Let me know when you want to go for it, and I will make a nomination. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 00:26, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
As you wish; but many users have been promoted inside the six month time. Please enable your e-mail - I need to talk to you. Look at your preferences at the top of the page. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 00:29, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
I am going to be away in a couple of days, so will not be contactable after Thursday this week. Nothing personal - holiday. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 00:40, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Contributions

Your edit count is a matter of record, is more than adequate (greater than mine when I was promoted), and no problem. Some editors get funny ideas about userpages of admin candidates. Would you consider removing the userboxes detailing your numbers of edits, with the exception of the most up to date one? --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 00:49, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Annoying box

I know that your "Don't vandalize, NHRHS2010 is watching you" is meant to deter vandalism, but it was annoying because I was trying to read your userboxes and that thing was in the way and I couldn't move it. Would it be possible to make it so that it doesn't follow readers around the page?...because it is very annoying. Not to worry, vandalism is against my values =) Savie Kumara 02:58, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

YES, thank you! It's big enough to get everyone's attention, but it doesn't get in the way. Good job. Savie Kumara 03:02, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your page looks nice. Apparently, you're a sensitive one...that's OK. There is also another userbox I might recommend that says, "This user does not understand mean people, so be nice". I couldn't find it though...try looking for it on other people's user pages. =) Savie Kumara 03:21, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Adminship for me?

Hello, dear NHRHS2010. I thank you for treatig me with such great consideration, but I would have to decline this nomination. I ony have 2000+ edits and have been inactive here for half a year, due to administrator commitments on another Wikimedia project. I hope to run for it later... but LATER sometimes doesn't come... Thank you anyway and keep in touch.--TVBdxiang (Talk) 10:00, 19 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Good day today

  The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
I only hope that I've beaten you to as many reverts as you've beaten me to today. I can't count the number of times I have gotten stopped mid-revert because you got it a moment earlier. Good job today. :) Trusilver 02:31, 26 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Have fun on vacation!

Thank you

Thank you for your support at my recent Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Angus Lepper RfA, which failed, with no consensus to promote me. However, I appreciate the concerns raised during the course of the discussion (most notably, a lack of experience, particularly in admin-heavy areas such as XfDs and policy discussions) and will attempt to address these before possibly standing again in several months time.
