Overtagging an article edit

I've deleted the page for National Giraffe Awareness, but I do want to extend a slight word of caution about overtagging pages with various "needs _____" type tags. You had about 21 of those one there, many of which were sort of redundant to one another. Generally speaking, overtagging can sometimes do more harm than help, as it looks sort of like you're a little too enthusiastic about trying to point out the article's flaws. It's usually better to try to use just 3-4 tags for the biggest and worst problems and leave it at that. When you have instances of obvious vandalism such as that article, usually all you have to do is just tag it as a speedy for a hoax or vandalism. It just seemed a little too overkill to link that many tags on that page, although it was admittedly pretty funny. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:05, 30 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Yep, I knew the page was gonna get deleted anyway so I heaped on the tags! Don't worry, I won't do this in the future. Limesave 07:35, 30 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for November 1 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Piano Concerto (Massenet), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Slovak, Lalo and Roussel (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Welcome to Wikipedia, Seattle, and Chopin activism edit

Hello! I am from Seattle but not living there these days. Thanks for your interest in visiting the Seattle meetup. Some time ago some people got a project funded to free Chopin music and I talked to them a bit about sharing what they produce on Wikipedia. I know little about classical music but I saw that you were a Chopin fan. If you ever find resources or content which you feel should be shared with a large audience, for example these Chopin resources be developed with kickstarter funding or whatever else you may find, then let me know if you need help integrating it into Wikipedia. I like helping Seattle people do whatever they want to do on Wikipedia.

Thanks for your interest! Maybe we will meet someday. Blue Rasberry (talk) 15:07, 11 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Deletion discussion about Compositions 1960 edit

Hello, Limesave,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Compositions 1960 should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Compositions 1960 .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, Imaginatorium (talk) 14:08, 16 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your user page edit

Hi, I understand it can be upsetting when someone nominates an article you wrote for deletion, but your statements about Imaginatorium and your linking of "WikiNazi regime" to Wikipedia:Administrators verge on personal attacks and violate WP:POLEMIC. Would you be so kind as to remove these comments? Thanks. ekips39 07:32, 24 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

(Comment from uninvolved editor) Perhaps User:Imaginatorium would like to comment on these statements? I still think the current state of your userpage could be improved (wouldn't it be a BLP violation in articlespace for libel? just my 2 cents). It implies that Imaginatorium was targeting you (I think people target articles, not people, anyway) and seems like WP:ABF to me. — kikichugirl speak up! 04:05, 26 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I saw this comment, but have no idea what this is all about. Just the word "heinous" on this user page? Bof! I find it all a bit puzzling: the Compositions 1960 is obviously not music, modern, hated, or anything else, it is performance art. Personally I find things like this mind-numbingly pointless, but a consensus wants to keep it, so great, keep it. There is a struck out line about me on the User page, but I see no need whatsoever for it to be removed. Imaginatorium (talk) 04:38, 26 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Art+Feminism, Saturday, May 6, at Jacob Lawrence Gallery, UW Seattle edit

Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon

Despite its wide reach, content on Wikipedia suffers from the bias of its editors: white, technically inclined, English-speaking men that live in developed, majority-Christian countries. This represents an alarming absence of voices in an increasingly important repository of shared knowledge.

In an effort to change this, the Jake is organizing a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon on Saturday, May 6th, 1 - 5 pm. Our mission is to bring together diverse communities to participate in Wikipedia editing, and improve its coverage of queer people and women of color in the arts.

We will provide childcare, snacks, and tutorials for the beginner editor.

Bring your laptop, power-cord and ideas for entries that need updating or creation. No previous Wikipedia experience required!

RSVP at and stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates.

What: Improving Wikipedia's coverage on queer and women artists of color
When: Saturday, May 6, 1-5pm
Where: Jacob Lawrence Gallery, Art Building #132, 1915 NE Chelan Ln, Seattle, WA 98105
Who: People of all gender identities and expressions are invited to participate.
What to bring: A laptop and power cord. Access to UW wifi will be provided for non-UW affliated participants.

February 2020 edit

Thank you for your contributions to List of people who have walked across the United States, but we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so please keep your edits factual and neutral. Our readers are looking for serious articles and will not find joke edits amusing. Remember that Wikipedia is a widely used reference tool, so we have to take what we do here seriously. If you'd like to experiment with editing, use the sandbox instead. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 00:11, 1 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

March 2020 edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Ronald Reagan. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:54, 4 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

December 2020 edit

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to introduce jokes into articles, as you did at Ava Max, you may be blocked from editing. Wikipedia is a serious encyclopedia, and contributions of this type are considered vandalism. Elizium23 (talk) 08:07, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

I apologize Elizium, but I do not see how the edit was a joke. Because of the song's lyrics I searched up Ava Max's Elo rating and she did not have one. It's important to state this in the article because the song is very popular and may mislead others to believe that she is a chess player. Besides on your point of serious encyclopedia, the page at WP:Humor states that "There is no clear consensus as to when and how humor should be included in articles." Limesave 19:23, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
Limesave, okay, so original research then. Whatever, it was inappropriate. Elizium23 (talk) 22:32, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at Ava Max, you may be blocked from editing. Elizium23 (talk) 22:39, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Ava Max. Elizium23 (talk) 22:47, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

June 2021 edit

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia. Beyond My Ken (talk) 23:53, 13 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • You've added unsourced information to Betty Boop (saying her "real name" is Beatrice), to Biological agents (adding COVID-19 to the list of agents), and Fallingwater (saying the house's name is a play on Frank Lloyd Wright's initials), so I am giving you a final warning: do not add unsourced information to any Wikipedia article again or you are liable to be blocked without warning. See WP:Verifiability and WP:Reliable sources for more information. If you have reliable sources to support any of this information, you may re-add it with a citation from that source. Beyond My Ken (talk) 23:53, 13 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

July 2021 edit

This is your only warning; if you introduce jokes into articles again, as you did at List of unusual deaths, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. I'm going to add: This editor made this apparently productive edit, essentially subst'ing {{dynamic list}}, solely for the purpose of revising the text to introduce a joke in their next edit. This has to stop. This type of edit shows enough knowledge of Wikipedia that ignorance of Wikipedia norms is not a credible excuse. Notice edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in COVID-19, broadly construed. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Lia Thomas Edit edit

I noticed your update to the Lia Thomas article, in which you added quotation marks around "she" in reference to a trans woman. The quotation marks are typically not included when discussing trans individuals. It has since been corrected. I wanted to let you know in good faith, in case you believe the edit to be necessary to Lia or any other trans biographies available on Wikipedia.
