Orphaned non-free media (Image:Can-Out of Reach (album cover).jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Can-Out of Reach (album cover).jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 11:26, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

RfA? Maybe. edit

I'm still not sure yet. I've been catching myself making a lot of mistakes (though fewer than I have been before), and I'm afraid that someone might single out one foul-up and oppose based solely on that. On the other hand, it seems like half of Wikipedia has mistaken me for an admin at some point... :-P Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirpsHELP) 20:29, 7 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello HisSpaceResearch! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 939 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

AfD nomination of Ruby Muhammad edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Ruby Muhammad. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ruby Muhammad. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:03, 3 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Laquisha Jonz edit

The article Laquisha Jonz has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

not notable BLP

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Lionel (talk) 01:53, 23 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Matthew-algie.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Matthew-algie.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Proposed deletion of Simple Minded edit

Hi. I understand that you created a redirect to Mental retardation called "Simple minded." Based on Merriam-Webster [1] and the Oxford English Dictionary [2], this is not the primary sense of the term. I am also not aware of the term simple minded being used as a synonym for mental retardation in the DSM. If it used that way, it is certainly not the most prevalent definition. It is more likely to be a fringe definition (WP:fringe). Therefore, I tagged this article for deletion. As a courtesy (WP:Prod]), I would like to inform you of this tag. Speedy deletion nomination of Talk:Caroline Welz/Comments edit

A tag has been placed on Talk:Caroline Welz/Comments requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

G8 in spirit: archive of a deleted talk page whose corresponding article was deleted as A7, no need to resurrect talk page to put a notice at the top as the content has no forseeable use to the project (see my recent MFD for a similar page that should not be G8'd)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Proposed deletion of File:Jeremy Kyle.jpg edit

The file File:Jeremy Kyle.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A non-free screenshot to "show" Kyle presenting the show is not needed per WP:NFCC#1 or WP:NFCC#8. Kyle is still living and there is a free image of him used in Jeremy Kyle which can be used for identification purposes if such an image is really needed. So, unless this particular screenshot is itself the subject of some kind of sourced critical commentary, there no real need for it from a contextual standpoint since the fact that Kyle is the host of the show can be understood from the text and cited sources, and simply showing him standing holding a mic in his hand doesn't need to be seen by the reader to understand that he is the host of the show.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Flavia Vento moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Flavia Vento, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
