Use of material in Telugu Wikipdia edit

Hello. I have looked at the Himalayan Academy website only recently and became an instant admirer of your work. As you have released rights of many images of "What is Hinduism", I took liberty to post a few images in Telugu Wikipedia. Here are the image links

I have copied the permission text from website and put it as Fair Use, because your "release of copy rights" does not mention either GFDL or CC. Is it OK? Alternatively, if you woul allow me to post any images under GFDL or CC, it would be excellent.

I am an adminsitartor in Telugu Wikipedia. te:User:కాసుబాబు regards

Original source for Image:NatarajaHA.jpg edit

Hi Natha, I was just wondering if you could provide any information on the original artist or source for Image:NatarajaHA.jpg. Although it is not required, it is highly encouraged to add information about where an image originally comes from to its image description page (if such info is known). If you are not aware of the original artist, do you at least know if the image is of modern origin, or better yet, the year of its creation and/or first publication. Cheers! Yogaswami edit

As the credits to the file state, the image of Yogaswami was drawn by "Gananathamritananda Svami", whom I personally know. Next time I talk to him, I'll mention that someone commented on his drawing and perhaps he'll want to correspond with you. Hope this helps. Feel free to contact me if you need anything else. Thanks.-Andrew c [talk] 14:15, 7 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

San Marga edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article San Marga, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of San Marga. Speedy deletion of Template:S-parampara-nosat edit

A tag has been placed on Template:S-parampara-nosat requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

License tagging for File:Bodhinatha-and-Avdheshanand.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading File:Bodhinatha-and-Avdheshanand.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:05, 14 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Bohinatha-other-nathas-Haridwar-2010.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading File:Bohinatha-other-nathas-Haridwar-2010.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 21:09, 14 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
