Uploading pics

It's really easy to do. First look to the left hand collum of the screen. Under the searchbox is the toolbox. In the toolbox is the link "Upload file" From there Wikipedia gives detalied directions on how to upload pics and walks you through it.

Also, how did you take a pic from TV. That's something ive always wanted to do. I don't know how. Tobyk777 03:53, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Asgard beams vs. rings

I'm pretty sure they said that they were trying to use the Asgard beams to beam through the Ori shields and it didn't work so they were going to try the rings next. Remember Chekov said "Beam the warhead to the ring room" or something like that, implying it was somewhere else which wouldn't matter for the Asgard beams but it would for the rings so they had to beam it to the ring room.

No, they beamed it to the ring room because Daniel Jackson theorised that they had a set of rings on the ship. The Korolev was destroyed before they could try, so Carter tried to ring a bomb aboard from the Ha'tak after finding the black box from the Korolev. This is the failure that needs to be mentioned because the Ori ship clearly dissarmed the bomb some how, not the fact that the Asgard beams could not penetrate the shields.(Grizzwald 03:21, 1 August 2006 (UTC))

Are we even on the same page here? I'm talking about the flashbacks during the beginning before the Korolev was destroyed. They tried asgard beams on the Ori ships. The Odyssey/Korolev tried the Asgard beams first and since it didn't work, the Korolev was about to try using the ring room for transporting a nuke onboard but they didn't get to try it. That is what I'm talking about, not at the end when they're on the Ha'tak with Bra'tac. I am 99% sure they mentioned trying Asgard beams before resorting to the rings.

I added your bit as well as mine so please leave it like that as I'm sure they mentioned the Asgard beams as well.

I honestly don't know, but it's cool to know now that I'm not alone on Wikipedia! I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we were the only two Calgarians that are interested in that sort of stuff. Commons Seating Plan

I am widely aware of how the colours of seating plans work, and I would know because I created the images for all the seating plans, so I certainly don't need to be reminded. I must also take issue with your insinuation that I "tampered" with the image. All I did was change the seating to reflect the parliament seating when the 39th parliament first opened, and did so to match the image from the 2004 election which reflected the original seating of the 38th parliament. I changed the image because what was posted was simply wrong. I changed the colours because I liked them; if you took issue with the colours, you could have simply said so and I could have changed them. Regards MS123

Start and end dates of parliaments

Hi, Grizzwald. I noticed that you have been changing the start and end dates of parliaments to match the first and last sessions. Most sources that I've seen use the return of the writs for the beginning (which is quite a bit before the first session) and disillusion for the end (which sometimes matches the last session and sometimes is later). Either the session-based model or the writs-dissilusion model could be referenced, but we should probably agree on a standard for all of our articles and lists before you start making a lot more edits. —Arctic Gnome (talk • contribs) 23:59, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

I whole heartedly agree with that statement. However, before I started making the changes, I noticed that in the most recent Parliament pages, there was mixed usage, and when I was making the info boxes for the 30th through to the 36th Parliaments, I was using the convention of using the start of the first session, and then placing the end as the day before the start of the next Parliament's first session. However, being a Political Scientist, I know this was incorrect, and that in fact the Parliament ceases to exist upon dissolution by the Governor General, which is usually the last day of the last session. This is why I was going through and changing the ends of the Parliaments to match this. I shall note, however, that the Library of Parliament does cite that the start of Parliament is the day that the first session begins."39th Parliament". (note the term) I will go through later today, or tomorrow to ensure that the dates I have listed as the end do match the date that is given by the Library of Parliament for dissolution.
