Edits by IP editor edit

I find this set of edits by an IP editor suspicious. I found the table of content of the book he uses as his source here, but it does not seem to support the POV or twist the IP has added to the summary. I cannot see the Dutch professor endorsing the nationalist position, only explaining it. -- Petri Krohn (talk) 11:54, 15 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Question edit

Hi, I am just curious... Did you file your new AE request as a part of this plan? Looks like WP:DUCK to me. Biophys (talk) 04:40, 11 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

No.--Dojarca (talk) 04:41, 11 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Sorry for asking. Offliner filed an AE request about Piotrus. The request was rejected. You said you would like to act as a proxy for Offliner [1] and immediately submitted exactly the same request about Piotrus. I thought that was funny. But it's not because someone already suggested to ban you. I think such ban would be unfair. In your place, I would withdraw this request. Piotrus is not your enemy (it would be much smarter to work together with him, exactly as he suggested) and you are not Alexander Matrosov. Thanks, Biophys (talk) 03:53, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
If that was your response, I can not agree that you did not violate any rules. We are all here only to build an encyclopedia, and this is the most important rule. Do you really think that your request helps to make this place better? Biophys (talk) 04:24, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Just to make myself clear, I was indefinitely topic-banned for telling this (second diff here), for example.Biophys (talk) 05:50, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Restriction edit

As the outcome of this request for arbitration enforcement, you are prohibited from commencing or participating in dispute resolution or enforcement processes (including arbitration enforcement) relating to user conduct within the area of conflict (as defined by WP:DIGWUREN#Discretionary sanctions) for a period of two months, save for processes concerning your own conduct. To avoid doubt, "commencing or participating in" includes doing so by proxy. Regards --Mkativerata (talk) 20:47, 13 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Block edit

I've blocked you for two weeks for socking, per this. This length will perhaps change after further investigation. Deacon of Pndapetzim (Talk) 16:22, 14 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Topic ban edit

Per this AE thread, and under the authority of WP:DIGWUREN#Discretionary sanctions, you are hereby banned from all articles, discussions, and other content related to Eastern Europe, broadly construed, for one year. You are free to appeal this ban, following the appeals procedure stated in the arbcom decision, when your block expires. T. Canens (talk) 20:47, 16 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

File:UKNCRT-11.png needs authorship information. edit

Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:UKNCRT-11.png appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided),authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

  • If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which:{{subst:usernameexpand|Dojarca}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
    or use the {{own}} template..
  • If this is an old image, for which the authorship is unknown or impossible to determine, please indicate this on the file description page.
If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:38, 19 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Mk-dos.png edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mk-dos.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:58, 11 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

The survey takes around five minutes, and the information you provide will not be shared with third parties other than to assist in analyzing the results of the survey. No personally identifiable information will be released.

Please click HERE to participate.
Many thanks in advance for your comments and thoughts.

You are receiving this invitation because you have had some activity in dispute resolution over the past year. For more information, please see the associated research page. Steven Zhang DR goes to Wikimania! 23:49, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:QubeOS.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:QubeOS.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Keφr (talk) 16:25, 7 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Possibly unfree File:Math3-affine.png edit

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Math3-affine.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. Image source problem with File:Math2-affine.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Math2-affine.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 07:05, 29 July 2015 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – czar 07:05, 29 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Math1-affine.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Math1-affine.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – czar 07:05, 29 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of File:Carolus v money.jpg edit

The file File:Carolus v money.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 23 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
