Table tests

Might I suggest playing with the tables somewhere besides the article talk page? User:DavidP02/Sandbox would be an ideal place; it makes it difficult to read the Talk:Homebrewing page history if it is full of a lot of test edits. —ptk✰fgs 22:38, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

Click on a user's name (e.g. Ptkfgs) and you'll be taken to that user's page. At the top, there will be a tab labeled "discussion". It's basically the same as the talk page for an article, but the user will be notified of new messages. A lot of users also put a link to the talk page in their signatures, for example, the "fgs" in my signature links to User talk:Ptkfgs. Text boxes

hmmm. we have templates like {{quotation}} that do this, but generally, if text is part of the article (i.e., it's wikipedia's text, not a quotation), it's just left in the article without any extra formatting. there is more information in the wikipedia manual of style. —ptk✰fgs 18:56, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

1. Unfortunately, I've never uploaded a picture and am unclear on the process. I'll have to refer you to Wikipedia:Uploading_images.
2. The brewing forum that I use is http://www.brewery.org/. Their photo gallery is at http://hbd.org/discus/messages/366/366.html?1158587546.
3. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by 'cask'. You mean with a beer engine? That is extremely rare among homeberwers. I agree that most homebrewers cornie keg and that the article should reflect this.
4. Yes, Wikipedia is not for how-to manuals and text that can be described as such can be deleted. — goethean ॐ 14:12, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
