@Sooper dooper wikitroll: Administrators actually have the option to block an IP from creating new accounts—see WP:OPTIONS. dalahäst (let's talk!) 10:52, 15 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
In this case it's best to deny recognition and just report them. They will probably just change IPs anyway. 331dot (talk) 10:58, 15 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
@331dot: In all likelihood, yes (though that's a lot of effort to go through just to damage an online encyclopedia for all of one or two minutes). I figure I might as well try to save them some time. dalahäst (let's talk!) 11:02, 15 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
I would guess that they are not new here since they are already aware that they can simply create a new account. They either take pleasure in disrupting what others do here, want attention however they can get it, or are just bored and fooling around. 331dot (talk) 11:10, 15 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Information edit

Hi, actually I am blogger who write informational posts. I would like to share information about "Customer Services Phone Number" for all the service provider like airlines, banking, telecom, credit card etc etc. SO that if people are getting any problem they can get their problem solved. I have a directory which offer all these information. Please allow me to add this directory as a link in wikipedia.

Thanks

@Murdockvw: It looks like you tried inserting a template that doesn't exist; placing text in double braces {{like this}} is the syntax for placing a template on a page. In any event, though, Wikipedia is not a collection of links, and links that aren't directly related to an article's topic are generally to be avoided. For example, a website that serves as a directory of contact information for many businesses should not be linked on the Wikipedia page for every business that appears in its directory. It's also worth keeping in mind that users don't come to Wikipedia to find contact information for businesses, since that information is more readily available from businesses' own websites and from services like Google Maps, where contact information is displayed alongside entries for businesses when available. dalahäst (let's talk!) 09:59, 16 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

robin user reverted my correct edits edit

robin user reverted my correct edits

@Betimantha: I understand you're unhappy about your edits being reverted, but when you have a disagreement with another editor, you should discuss it with them instead of edit warring. Going back and forth reverting each other's edits is not going to solve the problem. dalahäst (let's talk!) 09:46, 17 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

I would like to add lottery authority results link edit

why have you deleted my link of updated lottery result?

@Milkman1: I removed the link because Wikipedia's policy on external links advises against including links that aren't directly related to the subject of the article. In this case, the link is to a site with results from many different lotteries; users looking for additional information about the National Lottery Authority are unlikely to find it especially useful. Additionally, users trying to check lottery results will probably not look for that information on Wikipedia. I am going to go ahead and update the link to the official site, though, since the current link is to a site with mostly promotional content about a mobile lottery app. dalahäst (let's talk!) 13:28, 19 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
