Dinosaur Jr userbox edit

Hey Connor. To make your userbox, put the code on a page such as User:Connorhalsell/UBX/Djr, and save just the code there. Then, put that page name in {{-}} and it will appear. For example, if you made it on the previous page i suggested, it would be {{User:Connorhalsell/UBX/Djr}}. Reply if you need more help! → jacĸrм ( talk | sign ) 18:17, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

ok, it is done. should i add it to the list of Band-related userboxes? Connör 18:24, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Heavy metal umlaut edit

Actually, I did intend a joke. I know that the word "umlaut" does not itself have an umlaut. Since the "heavy metal umlaut" refers to the addition of umlauts where correct spelling omits them, adding an umlaut to the terms makes it a self-referencing example. Rock on, düde! :-) VisitorTalk 03:24, 8 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

No God? edit

As essentially an agnostic, with Christian upbringing as background, it's certainly easy to question the existence of God and the veracity of religions. I'm curious how it's possible to know, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that God does not exist. :) Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 02:31, 9 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Not a debate, just a question. :) And when someone makes a statement of any kind on their user page, they invite such questions. :) Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 14:49, 9 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Jogging edit

Hi,

The reason I removed the comment is because:

From WP:TALK - "The purpose of a Wikipedia talk page is to provide space for editors to discuss changes to its associated article or project page. Article talk pages should not be used by editors as platforms for their personal views."

From Wikipedia:Talk_page_guidelines#How_to_use_article_talk_pages - "Talk pages are for discussing the article, not for general conversation about the article's subject (much less other subjects). Keep discussions on the topic of how to improve the associated article. Irrelevant discussions are subject to removal."

From WP:TP - "Article talk pages are provided for discussion of the content of articles and the views of reliable published sources. They should not be used by editors as platforms for their personal views."

Talk pages are not meant to provide suggestions on how to jog, it is for suggestions on how to write a better wikipedia page. There's even a warning for chatting on talk pages - {{subst:uw-chat1}}. I routinely remove non-page improvement discussion from talk pages. It's a pet peeve of mine. Adam's contribution on the Jogging talk page add nothing aside from his 'training tip', do not, and can not improve the page as they are. There's no suggestion, just what he thinks others should use as a training technique, based on how his abs look. It's clutter for nothing and the guidelines urge against it. Hence my removal. Vandalism? edit

I changed that edit back after I thought it through, Connör.

Now I want to talk without bullshitting. You've seemed to change before my eyes dude, and it really sucks. You've changed the music you play and most likely listen to. Your personality is quite different, recently favoring a more emotional outlook. You aren't even going to confront me? You're just gonna be passive aggressive? I'm tired of that way, it's not how (once-)friends are supposed to deal with problems between each other. I'd like an honest response back too, no more fucking around on either side. I liked that part about the sandbox though, made me laugh.

Hmmm, well, I believe this is a mistake, and a claim of fair use was used. However, I guess I'm too late because it was already deleted. Yet more evidence for why the use of bots should be restricted and far more regulated. Connör (talk) 21:12, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit that you made to the page Acne vulgaris has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. umm, I've been here for years. Moot officially ordered all /b/rothers to make that edit. You don't go disobeying Moot. ɹouuoɔ (ʞןɐʇ) 01:05, 22 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
I've struck the templated message left here as you have been here a while. However, someone that's been here a while would know better than a)do what you did and b)give the reason you gave. Regards Tiderolls 01:37, 22 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
well, actually... I did, and I even pre-apologized in my edit summary. I know it was silly. idk. ɹouuoɔ (ʞןɐʇ) 02:39, 22 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:StrickLand_Propane.jpeg edit

Thanks for uploading File:StrickLand_Propane.jpeg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 11:47, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
