It is not quibbling over technicalities, New Zealands uncodified constitution does not create legal provisions for the position of Prime Minster Designate no such position exists, one is either Prime Minister or Not, it is a role not succeeded to but appointed to, please refrain from adding the office back onto Chris Hipkins wikipedia page Knowledgework69 (talk) 07:25, 23 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I invited you to take this to the article's talk page not my personal talk page. Whether the disputed appellation "designate" is used or not, I think the infobox should note that he will (barring unforeseen circumstances or a constitutional crisis) be assuming the office of prime minister in two days. This is in accordance with New Zealand's unwritten constitution, in which the governor-general acts in accordance with the decision of the governing party. I'll let another editor revert your changes. --Hazhk (talk) 11:11, 23 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

New Zealand edit

Howdy. I'm slightly concerned that a ever-changing mobile editor might be trying to push a republican PoV at the Governor-General of New Zealand page. Particularly concerning the status of who's head of state. New Zealand is one of the few realms, in which one of its constitutional acts directly describes the monarch as head of state. So the mobile editor pushing 'de-facto head of state' for the governor-general, is problematic. Maybe, you can come up with a better write up? if one's needed. Revert of my edit to Charles Wesley edit

I think that was a bad revert, and indicates that you don't really know that much about Charles Wesley. Per BRD, I have NOT reverted you, but I HAVE explained on the talk page in great detail why O For A Thousand Tongues should be included in the lede pbp 23:38, 29 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
