The Black March Movement was a movement formed in November 2010 by Assyrian Americans in the Chicago in response to the massacre of 58 Assyrian Christians at the Lady of Salvation Syriac Catholic Church in Baghdad, Iraq in 31 October 2010.[1]
The movement was dubbed "the black march" because the participant wore black as they marched through streets in protest of the massacre.[2] Thousands of Assyrians, other Christians, Jews and Muslim joined the series of protests in more than 30 countries most notably Australia, Canada, Netherlands and England.
