I have been an independent scholar specializing in historic California art for several years. I also have a lot of background in editing. So when, in the course of my research for articles I've published and a book I'm writing, I find errors or omissions in Wikipedia entries I tend to go in and edit them. I'm not sure how involved I want to get in contributing to Wikipedia, but I'm in favor of more women among its editorial ranks. Adding to knowledge here seems more meaningful to me than producing a blog and hoping people will find it, or fooling around with Facebook. I have a Master's degree in art history from U.C. Berkeley and a B.A. from Stanford, and I've worked at the Saint Mary's College of Calfornia Art Museum, Mills College Art Museum, the Oakland Museum and the U.C. Berkeley Art Museum.
