Early Years

Born in Denver, Colorado on 6 December 1977, Thompson was interrupted an episode of M*A*S*H that his mother was watching while in labor. The exact episode being watched is not known. He was birthed by Dr. Dana L. Slawson, whom his mother later discribed as a ditz. Sorry, Dana.

Thompson lived in Aurora, Colorado from birth until the age of seven when he moved with his family to Pearl River, Louisiana. While living in Louisiana, Thompson attended the First Presbyterian Church of Slidell and the elementary, middle and high schools of Pearl River. He participated in science & social studies fairs, read a few books and even cut down a tree. He lived in Louisiana until the age of 16, when he moved to and graduated from high school in the town of Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Thompson then attended Oklahoma State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor's in Computer Science in May 2001.

More Recently

Since then, Thompson has worked for various companies and lived in Mission, Kansas; Ardmore, Oklahoma (again); Downley, Buckinghamshire, England; and currently Ascot, Berkshire, England.

Thompson has collected a number of hobbies thus forth in his life. During the Sprint of 2000, Thompson began experimenting with Woodworking. During the Summer of 2004, Thompson realized he was interested in Photography. And most recently, Thompson began keeping Marine aquariums during Summer 2005. At this point Thompson is between hobbies, though is enjoying Cooking and working as a volunteer with the organisation Freegle.

Thompson has began several rather short lived clubs. While studying at Oklahoma State University, Thompson founded the Stillwater Linux Users Group. This club was reasonably successful and survived for around 3-4 years, to his knowledge. In the Fall of 2005, Thompson founded the Southern Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society. However, due to other constraints on his time, this club did not really survive past the end of the year 2005. Rumors are that it may yet be revived. However, these rumors are highly exaggerated.

Fame?

Fans have never nicknamed him "The Great Paul Thompson". He posseses unremarkable drumming skills and power. His drumming has never influenced the drumming of anyone. In fact, he is not a drummer, does not play ice hockey, and has never done any research that was really worth publishing.

Why is this Here?

Lastly, Thompson created this page in May 2006 because Wikipedia is awesome. And after all, shouldn't everyone have a page in wikipedia??? Well, apparently not because the wikipedia police made him move this to his User page where it lives now.
