This began life as a straight copy of Wikipedia:featured articles as of 02/03/04. My basic intention is to work my way through the entire list giving them at least a basic copyedit -- whilst the quality of these articles is high, a little sprucing up can't hurt them, and it would be nice if there weren't typos, etc. in things that are in some ways the Wikipedia's "shop front". I'm going to delete things from this list as I get to them, hence it will not remain a complete list (nor will I keep tracking articles added to featured, though I may start hanging around on Wikipedia:featured article candidates to catch them in embryo form).
