Thor 3
Thor 3 was a satellite used by Canal Digital in the Nordic areas for DTH services. It had 14 Ku band transponders, and was situated at 1 degree west. Thor 3 was launched in June 1998, with an expected lifetime at 12 years. It was replaced by Thor 6 which was launched 29th of October, 2009.
Thor 6 now serves the Nordic region as well as the Central and Eastern European regions.[1]
