      The Oxford College of Engineering is a college in Bangalore, India, under the VTU Visvesvaraya Technological University recognized by the Government of Karnataka and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education AICTE, New Delhi.

      History

      Founded in 1974 by Sri S Narasa Raju, the Oxford Educational Institutions is the brain child of the Children's Education Society.

      Campus and location

      The campus is set in a 10.5-acre (42,000 m2) campus and is situated along National Highway (N.H. 7), 10 km from Bangalore. The institutions are located mainly at 1st Phase, J.P. Nagar, Bangalore-560078, India.

      Admission procedure and eligibility

      Students are admitted on merit, according to the directives of the Government of Karnataka, both to the Government Quota and the Management Quota.

      Departments and courses

      Undergraduate

      These departments offer four year undergraduate courses in engineering.

      Eligibility for admission to B.E. courses is a pass in 10+2 class or equivalent with a minimum 45% in Science group. Mathematics and Physics are compulsory Science subjects. Any other Science subjects like Chemistry can be the Third Science subjects.

      These departments offer four year postgraduate courses in engineering.

      Eligibility for MBA course is a pass in any 3-year Degree course with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Eligibility for MCA course is a pass in any 3-year Degree course with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. The student must have studied Mathematics in 10+2 course or Degree level.
