The Collapse is the debut EP by gothic/melodic death metal band System Divide, released on May 17, 2009.
The EP was self-recorded at the Conquistador Recordings in Cleveland, Ohio and produced by the band's own guitarist Cole Martinez. It was self-released on May 17, 2009, and released on iTunes on June 19, 2009. The EP was mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen at his Hansen Studios in Denmark.
Three of the songs on the EP: "Purity In Imperfection", "The Apex Doctrine" and "n(Ether)", were re-recorded for the band's first full-length album The Conscious Sedation which was released in 2010.
