Jeremy Lin Incident
On the February 15 Nick and Artie show while discussing "Lin-sanity" Nick and Artie were accused of urging listeners to call in with the most racist joke about Lin and Asian-Americans they could think of. A media storm followed and the show was attacked by media outlets including MSNBC commentator Ed Schultz who branded the show "racist".
The following day Nick and Artie apologized on air while also claiming what they said was taken out of context. Their apology was accepted by groups including The Media Action Network for Asian Americans (MANAA) who praised DirecTV for how they handled the situation.
