The Texas State Bobcats baseball program is a college baseball team that represents Texas State University–San Marcos.

The new Baseball/Softball Complex opened with a game at the new Bobcat Ballpark on March 2, 2009 versus the University of Texas Longhorns.

Ty Harrington (University of Texas '89) entered the 2010 season (his 11th at Texas State) with a 337-252 W/L record, the best of the four Bobcat coaches they have had since 1985, and a 178-102 in the Southland Conference. He reached his 350th career win on March 27, 2010 with a home victory over Lamar. His 400th career win came on April 23, 2011 with a 16-2 victory over Northwestern State University. Entering his 12th season at Texas State (2011), Harrington sports a 375-274 all-time record, including a 201-112 record during Southland Conference play. He has helped produce 55 all-conference selections, and 23 of Harrington’s players have been chosen in the Major League Baseball Draft.

The 2009 season was, to date, Harrington's most successful as a coach, taking the team to the regular season Southland title with an overall record of 41-17 (24-7 SLC) and its fourth Regional appearance.
