Delete. -anon

This tag has been around for quite a while before this VfD was posted. It provides a useful alternative for the quite disruptive {{weasel}} tag and helps editors to correct the inline problem.

TfD nomination of Template:Weasel-inline edit

Template:Weasel-inline has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. Irishpunktom\talk 14:11, 25 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

I don't think this template is up for deletion anymore; I can't find anything at Wikipedia:Templates for deletion about it. I've cleaned-up the template so it no longer mentions the deletion discussion. -- Mikeblas 00:13, 14 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Category edit

I would like to see a category page listing the pages having a phrase tagged with this template. It's much easier to swoop in and fix a weasel-worded sentence, if there is a tag for it!

You can just search for the word "weasel" on the page, and you're business. (I created another similar tag, but User:FeloniousMonk said I was "tag-bombing" with it. He also objected to the connotation of "weasel". But dozens of pages are using Template:Weasel-inline, and he didn't protest any of those.) --Uncle Ed 19:30, 22 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Having it put things into same category as {{Weasel}} is a fine idea. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 06:20, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Add Template:When to the See also section? edit

Would someone with the proper permissions add Template:When to the See also section and maybe Template:Weasel-inline to the Template:When See also section as well?

Migrate this template to template:fix-span edit

I suggest migrating this template from template:fix to template:fix-span, so that it could be used to indicate improper language more precisely. Corresponding change is implemented in sandbox. See testcases for practical aspect of change. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talktrack) 11:51, 16 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Fix the link edit

Some should fix the link of this template (→WP:WEASEL). It's no longer working. --bender235 (talk) 20:00, 12 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Someone installed a redirect at some point meanwhile. The Crab Who Played With The Sea (talk) 14:58, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Date edit

The instructions say, "A date may be appended," but doesn't make clear what particular date is to be chosen. I would assume the date of first adding the Weasel template (but if this is the case, why doesn't the template include its first use date automatically?), but the instructions could make it clear. There may be other places in Wikipedia entities where similar date ambiguities appear. David Spector (talk) 13:31, 2 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
