I'm removing "Formerly the Boston Americans" - according to the main article, and the sources referenced there, "Americans" was never an official nickname. "Red Sox" is the one and only official nickname in the club's history, and including "Americans" here gives an incorrect impression. SixFourThree (talk) 21:13, 19 August 2009 (UTC)SixFourThreeReply
