Priority? edit

Akira was the first to record the voices before the animation was done, not this series. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.193.209.99 (talk) 04:15, 17 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Just finished watching the series edit

I added quite a bit of information. Please someone edit the info I just added if it's wrong. I watched a fansub, so the subtitles could be inaccurate.--Rumpelstiltzkin 02:10, 21 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Naming of characters edit

In the Animax official English dub of Tweeny Witches, the main protagonist is named Ellis, whereas her fellow witches are named Eva and Sheila. See - Animax's page for their dub of Tweeny Witches - I've therefore named the characters and other information (titling, etc.) according to the conventions followed in the English dub, following Wikipedia's general guidelines. - Ganryuu 03:08, 29 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Her name might be a pun. She is NOT called "Alice", which would be "Arisu" アリス in Japanese. Her name Arusu is very close to that, but not the same. Because what happens to her is similar to Alice in wonderland, but not the same still. Animax possibly called her "Ellis" because the pronunciation is the same as "Alice", but it still isn't the same name. This information should be added to the article. And indeed, in episode 27 she herself actually talks about the resemblance between her name and Alice (from Alice in "Through the Looking-Glass", which her mother read to her when she was younger). In the US DVD release she is named "Arusu". My suggestion would be that "Arusu" is used on Wikipedia also. Thomas Bellman (talk) 18:38, 11 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yoko/Mother? edit

Is Yoko really her mother. This is never spelled out as Arusu never refers to Yoko as her mother. She never once states who her mother is and assuming that Yoko is Arusus' mother seems contradictory when she never calls her father anything but dad. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.214.17.5 (talk) 20:42, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes Yoko is arusu Mother.
On the beginning of episode 3, 4:30. Arusu says that Yoko misses her, Eva asks who is Yoko and Arusu answer that is her mother(hahaoya, in Japanese).
I don't remember how this scene was translated on the Dub version. But on the original this scene makes this clear. 200.14.122.33 (talk) 00:17, 18 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Sequel? edit

This line has been removed:

"Ellis the Adventure (アルス THE ADVENTURE, Mahou Shoujo Tai Arusu 2), released in 2006, continues the story of Ellis and the world of magic."

What is this? If it's a second series, I can't find any other source. Is it a confused report of a manga? A game? Or is it non-existant? CFLeon 21:38, 24 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

That seems to refer to the 12 episode OAV series. Thomas Bellman (talk) 18:28, 11 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
