hey, i really don't know who redirected this page to Aerobics. Sport Aerobics is totally different from Aerobics exercises. Sport aerobics is a branch of gymnastics. It is an independent sport. Just have a look at the Code of Points of Federal International Gymnastics. It's official name is Aerobics Gymnastics. You can't put it as part of Aerobics. The person who did this may don't know much about sport aerobics. Yeah, really not many people know this new sport.

Take a look at German, French, or other language pages, they have Sport Aerobics and Aerobics pages separated. Sport aerobics → Aerobic gymnastics - The Federation of International Gymnastics very clearly calls it Aerobic Gymnastics to be consistent with its other disciplines Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Trampoline Gymnastics, Acrobatic Gymnastics and General Gymnastics or Gymnastics for all. Sport aerobics → Aerobic gymnastics – There are several reasons why Aerobic Gymnastics is a more proper name. Firstly, the sport is controlled by the International Federation of Gymnastics (FIG) who if you check out Http://www.fig-gymnastics.com has clearly named the sport Aerobic Gymnastics. I believe since the FIG is the governing body of the sport, the editor of the Code of Points and the organization that holds the World Championships of the sport it has the right to name it. Secondly, Aerobic Gymnastics is more consistent with other forms of Gymnastics ex. Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Aesthetic group gymnastics, Wheel gymnastics and Acrobatic Gymnastics. The Google search for Aerobic Gymnastics gives almost twice the amount of results that Sport Aerobics gives 162,000 vs. 80,700 clearly establishing WP:COMMONNAME.
