The site (http://www.sixdegrees.com) now (10th December 2010) says:

The Web's Hottest New Social Network Is Currently Open to Members Only To join, please follow the link in your invitation.

There appears to be a new social network at SixDegrees.com but it's legitimacy is questionable.

I went to SixDegrees.com to see what comes up and I found what on the surface appears to be a relaunch of the SixDegrees.com social network (using the old SixDegrees.com logo) but several red flags left me questioning it's legitimacy. The new site doesn't use SSL/encryption and the picture on the main page is taken from Wikipedia Commons. It also include no contact info on contact page but instead expects you to submit your email for them to contact you back. A basic Google search shows no news articles on this supposed relaunch of SixDegrees.com so I wonder if it's just a scam site intended to collect email address & passwords for unsuspecting users who try to sign up. Unless some reliable sources talk about the new SixDegrees.com website as a legitimate operation then I think we should treat SixDegrees.com as dead as a social network. -- Notcharliechaplin (talk) 09:12, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
