how are the sports teams he's a fan of at all relevant? This bio sounds like a book jacket copy/paste (not to say that it is, it just sounds like it) --jacobolus (t) 19:14, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

- as a person whose read a good deal about the personality of other academics, I can say that sometimes it is interesting to hear what sports teams they are a fan of, especially if they are a real fanatic. --Buridan 23:16, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

If this were a page on an academic topic I see why it could be left out, if the academic topic requires focus it should be the title of the page.
