Ratings

Please note that the table in the Ratings section is for seasonal averages as it clearly says. I've reverted the change to the ratings for seasons 1 and 2. The sources that were used to support the previous numbers were for an individual episode rating. Please see the current sources used and place a comment here if you disagree with the reversion. Cast

While I don't mind the table, I think the prose looked much better and cleaner. Can I suggest we change it back? Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 05:00, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

I'm neutral about this, though I think the table looks nice. Then again, I have always liked organized lists far better than prose, so that might be a bit of a bias on my part. NuclearWarfare (Talk) 05:13, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
While the change (making the actor column shorter) certainly made things better, I'm still gunning for the prose. Prose is encouraged over lists (not sure where this is stated, though), but I'll wait for what others think and go with the consensus. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 05:25, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
I think the list should stay, but it might need clean-up. All the details about the casting of the actors for the roles seem more appropriate for the seperate character articles. With that gone, I think the list will look good. I just tried to do this, but I butched up the links somehow and had to revert it. Anyone more competent than me who feels like giving it a try? Darthdyas (talk) 19:25, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
To be honest, I prefer prose when it comes to that kind of thing. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) 20:11, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

This section was originally in list form then we changed it to prose for the GA nomination. Some time later, I changed it to back to a list because there were so many characters and it got really hard to read. Also, most film and television articles use the actor as character format in this section and it is clearer (to me) than prose. I don't mind the table format but I haven't seen any other film or television articles using it in the cast section.

"All the details about the casting of the actors for the roles seem more appropriate for the seperate character articles" - I don't think this should be removed because it needs to be in the main article to show the behind-the-scenes part of "Cast and characters". All featured articles have info on the casting process.

"Prose is encouraged over lists (not sure where this is stated, though)" - it's here -> Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Bulleted and numbered lists.

Just to clarify, Corn.u.co.pia and Matthew, when you say prose, do you mean in paragraph form (no bullet points) or in list form (with bullet points)?

-- Ladida (talk) 22:42, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the information. I don't really mind whether the descriptions are in paragraph form or list form; the bulkiness of the table is what really bothers me. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 00:58, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
I agree that the table does look rather unattractive. Besides, aren't tables only supposed to be used to convey numerical data or short pieces of information? Shall we change it back to a list then (as suggested by Wikipedia:MOSTV#Cast information)? -- Ladida (talk) 22:11, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
I would like that. :D Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 03:19, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
To answer Ladida's question posted earlier, by prose, I mean in list form (like it was before the table). So I agree to returning the cast as a list. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) 12:42, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Done. -- Ladida (talk) 22:16, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks; looks much better. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 00:53, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Season Four Special

If someone knows of a "Specials Episode" for season four, could they please add it to List_of_Prison_Break_episodes#Specials? I'm going to try to go for a FL with it soon, so any help would be appreciated. NuclearWarfare (Talk) 19:00, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Why is my link removed?

why was [1] removed from the link box? its a great site i found with loads of prison break episodes for free, so i dont understand why it got taken off??? 200.71.161.189 (talk) 21:26, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

The link has multiple issues - not the least of which is that the site does not appear to have legal copyright to provide the episodes. It would be worthwhile to read WP:COPYRIGHT, as well as WP:ELNO and WP:NOT#REPOSITORY. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 21:25, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

Copyright infringement

So whatever came about from the copyright infringement allegation mentioned in the article? The allegation was made two, three years ago -- surely something's come about since then. --Mûĸĸâĸûĸâĸû 08:41, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Prison Break Game

What's going on with the Prison Break game adaption? All it says on the main article is it's supposed to be released in February which was two months ago (from right now). Let's see if we can get some new information on this and into the main article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheJoak (talkcontribs) 22:25, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

prisonbreak movie.

alright buddy, somebody reverted my addition of the prisonbreak movie.

it's legit, i provided proof. leave that shit alone, feel free to make it blend better but GOD DAMN IT ITS THE TRUTH, SO LEAVE IT BE.

There is no need to shout at us, I believe you, but please be civil from now on, or you could get a warning, or ban for engaging a personal attack. Thanks. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) 13:49, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

its hard to be civil when every time you actually make an addition some PRICKFUCK reverts it and you spend a week trying to keep the truth there.

I understand your frustration. The fact still remains though that you have provided a source for the note you made, which is good of you, and it was wrong for Reidlos to revert your edit without a reason, since the source doesn't appear to be unreliable (to my viewpoint anyway). But again, I'm going to have to ask you not to swear. Thanks. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) 11:05, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

Prison Break Finished

Prison Break is pretty much finished now, so I believe it would be appropriate to make this known through changing the article to reflect the past tense.

season 5 on the way —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.156.14.108 (talk) 07:43, 7 March 2010 (UTC)

Anachronism

The opening section contains a sentence which reads "The series was originally turned down by Fox in 2003, which was concerned about the long-term prospects of such a series. Following the popularity of serialized prime time television series Lost and 24, Fox decided to back production in 2004." How is the reference to Lost valid when it only aired its pilot episode in late 2004? Kind regards--Calabraxthis (talk) 11:13, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

spoiler alert warranted

In the plot synopsis for season 4, the content should be modified, or a spoiler alert added. In the last sentence, a major plot point from the SUBSEQUENT DVD release is given away. I'm not going to change it because that would require me to read it, which I immediate stopped doing, as I just finished season 4, but have yet to watch the subsequent release. Granted the "Final Break" release takes place before the final scene of season 4, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect these plot synopses to be free of plot-forward spoilers. Obviously, giving away plot points for the season being described is the whole idea, and even from previous seasons to provide context is fair game, but this is akin to a plot synopsis of The Empire Strikes Back revealing specific plot points from the Star Wars prequels to explain a certain paternity dispute.Aoystreck (talk) 02:01, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Okay, after watching it all, I cleaned it up to be forward-spoiler free. I also fixed up a couple of errors, though I think a few still remain. On an unrelated note, I noticed Lincoln was referred to by a different name through much of the article. I'm not sure if that was just blatant vandalism, or if the character goes by another name in different language versions of the show, and the article was edited by a misinformed international viewer. Either way, I reverted all reference back to the character's name, Lincoln.Aoystreck (talk) 03:47, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Starring

I reordered the starring list as it was mainly incorrect and I noticed people who going back and forth with the order. It included two actors who were never starring cast members (Leon Russom and Kathleen Quinlan) and didn't have a few people who were in the main cast, such as Rockmond Dunbar, Peter Stormare and Robert Wisdom. The order is a little tricky considering since there's cast changes every season, but I simply put them in the order the main cast was originally billed in season 1, and then just added the names in order when they were added to the opening credits in subsequent seasons. The only other changes that could be made is if people want Fichtner and Callies to be at the end, considering they got 'and' and 'with' credits. Otherwise it should be left alone now.Drovethrughosts (talk) 13:13, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Stacy Keach

Although being the "Pope", he is not mentioned in the article. -- 79.235.26.126 (talk) 10:53, 2 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi we can't mention all the minor and recurring character here in the main article. He is covered in the List of Prison Break minor characters article.--Chamith (talk) 11:22, 2 March 2015 (UTC)

Prison Break GA Reassessment

This discussion is transcluded from Talk:Prison Break/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the reassessment.

GA Sweeps: On hold

As part of the WikiProject Good Articles, we're doing Sweeps to determine if the article should remain a Good article. I believe the article currently meets the majority of the criteria and should remain listed as a Good article. However, in reviewing the article, I have found there are several issues that needs to be addressed.

  1. Address all of the "citation needed" tags. The "Awards and nominations" section is unsourced.
  2. The watermark should be removed from File:PB S4 Intro.png and it should be reduced in size.
  3. Why is File:Prison Break brothers.jpg needed in the article? It looks like it is being used for decorative purposes.
  4. "Season 4" details seem a bit excessive beyond the other seasons, try and trim it a bit.
  5. There are a few single sentences throughout the article. To improve the flow of the article, either expand on them or incorporate them into another paragraph.
  6. There are multiple free images at Wikimedia Commons. The non-free cast image should be removed to include the free one, along with any other free images you think are relevant to include in the article.
  7. There are multiple dead links/redirects that need to be fixed. The Internet Archive can help.

This article covers the topic well. I will review the article's prose once the above issues are addressed. I will leave the article on hold for seven days, but if progress is being made and an extension is needed, one may be given. If no progress is made, the article may be delisted, which can then later be renominated at WP:GAN. I'll contact all of the main contributors and related WikiProjects so the workload can be shared. If you have any questions, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 22:52, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

I'll be happy to help out. I haven't seen the full series yet, so I won't be able to help out with trimming the season 4 summary. However, I can deal with the sourcing and image issues. I think I'm going to rework the article in some areas, and I really hate the television distribution section; it's much too long. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 09:17, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
Only one issue was addressed so far, one week later. I'm going to leave the article on hold for another week. Please address the above points to prevent the article from being delisted. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 01:20, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
I think I've covered all the points you raised, although I'm not sure how to remove the watermark or find an alternative. Would you or anyone else be able to do this? Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 07:31, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

GA Sweeps: Kept

Good work addressing the issues. I believe the article currently meets the criteria and should remain listed as a Good Article. I also uploaded the title image at a smaller size and without a watermark. I went through the article and made a few more changes, please review them. I tried to remove all of the past tense occurrences of future events occurring in the show, but it would be beneficial if people actually knowledgeable on the show could give it a read-through and make sure it is all up-to-date. Continue to improve the article making sure all new information is properly sourced and neutral. It would also be beneficial to update the access dates for all of the online sources. If you have any questions, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I have updated the article history to reflect this review. --Happy editing! Miniseries

Is an extra article for miniseries being planned? Or everything is going to be covered by this article? --Obsuser (talk) 04:50, 10 March 2016 (UTC)

@Obsuser:Based on how Prison Break has been handled previously WP:OSE would say that it will. Right now there is an article for every season, and starting later on, an episode for every episode. There is no reason to assume the miniseries or Season 5, whichever it will be called, won't have its own article. At this point though without filming starting or even a release date announced there is no reason for one. This could be canceled at any point. Once a release date has been announced and there is enough information for its own article, it should get a season 5 article. In the mean time, just the section the way it is is correct. However, you are correct, we should create a season 5 page to redirect to the revival section. - GalatzTalk 14:23, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
OK. It is not season 5, it is miniseries... And I don’t think so there’s a possiblity for cancelling as many announces from Fox, Paul Scheuring etc. came, and are and should be considered very serious.
We don’t know official name right now, too... --Obsuser (talk) 21:54, 10 March 2016 (UTC)

Car in 2nd season

Which kind of car is Scofield riding to scrap in season two? Is it a 3rd generation Dodge Dart?
Thank you in advance for the answer.
