Page name and pending closure of Paradise Pier

The moving of this page from Paradise Pier to Paradise Park is premature -- Paradise Pier remains open as of the time I'm writing this, and from the sources it does not appear that the renaming of the themed areas will occur until summer 2018 (in other words, Paradise Pier will remain Paradise Pier until Pixar Pier opens). In addition, regarding the rides that are closed during the Paradise Pier transformation, please see the refurbishment schedule on DCA's official website. According to this, effective 1/8/2018, the following Paradise Pier attractions will be closed:

  • California Screamin'
  • Mickey's Fun Wheel
  • Boardwalk Bazaar
  • Sideshow Shirts
  • Treasures in Paradise
  • California Scream Cam
  • Point Magu Tattoo
  • Hot Dog Hut
  • Ariel's Grotto
  • Cove Bar
  • Paradise Pier Ice Cream Company

Not included in this list are King Triton's carousel or Toy Story Midway Mania. Unless a reliable source shows otherwise, the pages should reflect what appears on DCA's official website.

It's also worth noting that DCA's official website still refers to the area as Paradise Pier. Although the area will be renamed, the renaming has not happened yet, and will not happen until at least April, according to the Disney press release. 青い(Aoi) (talk) 09:24, 8 January 2018 (UTC)

Pixar Pier and Paradise Gardens Park

With Pixar Pier and Paradise Gardens Park opening officially tomorrow, I was wondering if there was a preference or idea among those watching this page as to what should happen to the existing Paradise Pier article. Specifically:

1. Do we want to rename the Paradise Pier article as Pixar Pier and create a new article for Paradise Gardens Park (assuming both meet WP:N?
2. We could also rename Paradise Pier as Paradise Gardens Park and create a new article for Pixar Pier.
3. Lastly, we could also opt to keep the Paradise Pier article as is (with the article describing the Paradise Pier themed area as it existed from 2001 through 2018), and create new articles for Pixar Pier and Paradise Gardens Park.

I have a slight preference for the third option -- but it's not a strong preference, so if someone wants to be bold and change it as they see fit, I have no problem with that either. Just bringing this up as an idea. 青い(Aoi) (talk) 20:48, 22 June 2018 (UTC)

• @Aoi: I prefer 2 more~~ Because Pixar Pier is a totally new theme land in California Adventure, and Paradise Gardens Park is just a new name for the old Paradise Pier. Paradise Gardens Park is only the remaining part of Paradise Pier, not a new theme land, and they didn't change anything in it. So I think Paradise Gardens Park may be the new name and the main content in this article, and we may create a new article for Pixar Pier. But also, I do not a strong preference for it. Splitting Article
